A clear starting point for how this community site works.
Public and member spaces
Public announcements, articles, public discussion, resources, and public poll results may be read by anyone. The Tenant Room and tenant polls require approved tenant access. The Union Leaders forum requires leadership approval.
Accounts and votes
Accounts store a username, email address, password hash, and assigned permissions. Tenant polls record account-linked votes to enforce one vote per eligible account; they are not secret ballots. When public voting opens, Cloudflare Turnstile will process verification requests. Guest duplicate deterrence uses a keyed hash of the connection address.
Private does not mean encrypted from administrators
Authorized technical administrators and server operators can access stored data. Avoid posting identity documents or sensitive personal records. Attachments are disabled in the first-draft forum while protected delivery is being assessed.
Development status
This is a development draft. The union must review the final privacy policy, retention periods, contact details, and member procedures before general member onboarding.
